When you visit us at our studio in Grass Valley, California you're welcomed into a secluded forest retreat.

Enjoy an experience tailored just for you in our private cottage, where you won't be rushed through like a commercial studio. You get personalized attention, posing direction, with a chance to take a breath and be guided through the process so you look your best.

The understated tranquility of this space quiets the noise of life and fosters connection and intentionality. It has been a haven for many visitors over the years and we look forward to sharing it with you.

I believe... we all have a burning light within us searching for love, acceptance, and the freedom of authentic expression.

I believe... that if more people could see the truth of who they are and connect with the love they seek, it would change the world.

I believe... that portraits have the power to heal. They give us the opportunity to ask the big questions in life: Who am I? What am I here for? They let us see ourselves, and just maybe, ...find ourselves.

I believe... portraits should be displayed. Big and bold. Portraits with presence help us celebrate the relationships we cherish the most. ....And relationships are what really matter.

I believe... in having fun along the way. Laughing until you cry is the joy in the journey.

Brenda Hallie Bell

Brenda is an award-winning artist known for her dramatic and classical approach to portraiture. With over 20 years of experience, including a decorated military career in the U.S. Air Force as a combat photojournalist.

She is a distinguished graduate in photography from the renowned Defense Information School in Maryland. Her work has been featured in regional and national publications, as well as displayed in the Pentagon in Virginia.

Today she focuses on creating legacy portraiture for individuals and their families. She works from her private studio in the historic gold-mining town of Grass Valley, California and offers limited sessions in Reno, Nevada and Salt Lake City, Utah.
